women drivers
i’m the ultimate “woman driver”, aren’t i? as far as i try and consider myself competent, at the least passable, i just keep having these ridiculous accidents that each add points to the bad women driver pool, not just embarrassing myself but 51% of the world in general all at the same time.
i went over this pothole thing in the road today rather fast, my car dipped into it and i cracked my oil tank bit thing under it. so i leaked oil till the light came on, the light blinked and made a fuss till my car started puttering, my car puttered till it stalled finally by the side of the road.
and i put my hazard lights on and the boot lid up to direct traffic away. singaporeans started slowing down to take a look. HEY. it was just a stalled car. what’s the big deal? anyway, i started snapping pictures of some of them slowing down to stare, because it was just getting appalling. i don’t expect anyone to stop and help, but this?
you can tell they’ve slowed down because even with my lousy phone camera with its needle-point aperture, the cars are still pretty sharp, sooooooo… you know they’re not whizzing by.
yet another expensive repair. why didn’t i beg my parents for payment? because i was too proud and “let” them deliver punishment. and of course i can afford it, because we all know i earn so much.
