Taking the Weather With Me
As promised, the Brisbane video is ready. And all in 45 minutes, too—which is my shamefacedly halfbaked excuse for its quality, in the hopes of beating away half of the dissenters who will post nasty comments.
Am most pleased with the music chosen, though, because Crowded House is part Aussie, part New Zealand (it’s all down’under anyway, isn’t it?) and a line in the chorus goes, “Everywhere you go, you always take the weather with you.” Having not experienced many countries quite as hot and humid outside Southeast Asia, I have to say, Brisbane felt strangely like home, right from the moment the wall of humid, choking air hits your face as you step out of the airport.
The Movie World portion is pretty bad quality compared to the rest of the video, because it was shot with my phone when I left my camera’s battery at the hotel. It’ll be jerky, so maybe the nausea induced will bring back memories of old phone video clips I’ve posted before, where you were waiting for something interesting to happen, and all you got was a fade-out to black.
