Aside: Broadband for Everyone
Broadband for everyone in Singapore: They’re going to set up a 1Gbps national network. Sounds good. But then, there’s always a catch—The last paragraph reads:
The operating model specified…requires service providers to offer a basic service for the lowest possible cost, which may include one year of free access. Service providers also must offer a premium service, for which users would pay more.
That means the first year free, and the next year for vun meellion dollars. [insert manical laugh]

actually it sounds like there would be two options. A basic at a very low cost and may include a free year. The other option would be a premium service that would cost more than the basic option.
So if one doesn’t have a mil $ lying around, we can just go for the basic service and crawl along the ground with the other degenerates…
What’s this new fangled broadband thing about? I’m still on dial up!
Which reminds me of something… when I was in Krabi last week, I saw this sign outside an internet shop…
‘Hi-speed broadband internet access! 256kbps!’
I liked this article on Broadband. I have a question. What do you think my name broadbandforeveryone.com is worth? I held it for a few years and you seem versed on this Technology.
Thanks

Now that’s a better attempt at hiding spam.
I really would like to know what you think the name is worth. Not trying to spam.
Mike» Probably as much as any marketing website name–it’ll generate interest and curiosity, but comes across gimmicky so it works primarily as a marketing site’s name, that’s all.
well leapfish.com has a “Domain Name Value Estimator” that you can try. Not sure how accurate it is of course.
For example “www.vikiho.com” has a value score of 170 and is supposedly worth US$3,740 :P
Thanks Victoria for your comments.
