Aside: Menstruation: Optional

There’s got to be something inherently dangerous about using contraceptives to abort periods indefinitely. Even if some doctors say it’s okay. It can’t be safe! (via serialdeviant.org)

    And you’re right! Not having menses by not taking a 7 day pill free period means that the will be a continuous build up of the lining of the womb, the endometrium. This is not good in the long run as there is an increased risk of developing conditions such as endometrial hyperplasia… which leads to an increased risk of endometrial cancer.

    So DON’T DO IT!

    That was a really long way of saying that one day, all these women will be exploding bags of menstrual blood. Yummy.
