Like a Bulimic at a Laxative Buffet
Funny how I thought that getting Linux would make everything smooth right over so that I could spend the last couple of hours before dropping off to sleep doing important things—like watching downloaded TV episodes, for one, or putting more games into my PSP.
Instead, the past few nights have been a compulsive grabfest for every.single.damned.program I can get my hands on. Blame it on how easy the installer makes it in Linux. Blame it on the overgeneration of programs from the open community. Blame it on everything being free. Blame it on my OCD-like habits whenever I get something new and it has to be just right…Twitch, twitch.
But really, when the installer tells you that you have 18800 programs left to download, grab and explore, twitch, twitch, some things get left behind in the blur of manic clicking.
However, they’ve cracked The Sims 2 for the PSP (firmware 1.5!) and I have to get a semblance of a real life tonight with a social event, so things might be looking up. Or down. Who needs people when you have the Adept Linux installer?
Twitch, twitch.

see, reading you do all this techy stuff makes me feel ashamed.
I spent about an HOUR making my blog look different - and that took a lot out of me. And all i had to do was link different things and check off boxes on the screen.
shit.
Seeing as how it was me that told you about Adept, I have some sense of pride in how…compeling you have found going through all the open source programs have been
But then I see you speak of lack of sleep and a lack of a social life and I start feeling kinda bad in getting you hooked on all this.
Perhaps some restrain is in order? After all, you wouldn’t want to burn yourself out on Linux so soon for naught right?
I guess, what I’m trying to say is to take care of yourself.
jody> I’ll be over there in two seconds to congratulate you. :)
Fal> Don’t worry, my social life is intact, static and um…paced as it usually is. (My post is somewhat exaggerated, by the way…) :D

Oooh you’re right I do like them. The cello’s a great touch. And who’s the Japanese man? My next recording shall have me faking the cello on a violin or guitar, then, in my eternal quest for a “good” song, whatever the hell that is.
um. jody only went to check their music cos she thought the guy was good-looking. on the most part.
but they do have good songs. so i guess it’s not just pretty-pretty.
shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh jun
So should i install a linux too???? i got a core duo!
quick advise!
Cy> Umm…Maybe Falchion would be better at advising, but you don’t even like computers. By extension, you’d probably not like Linux very much, either. :D
