A New Same Job
The dearth of posts on this blog recently have been a combination of not being able to talk about one thing (which, whoopee, I can now) and my usual lack of anything to say apart from the thing that my mind’s fixating on, i.e. the thing I can’t talk about. So.
I’ve had to embargo this post, for the usual borrowed superstitions, like how people say talking about something will ruin your chances of it ever happening. So now that the ink’s down on the paper, I’m able to say it.
I’m quitting. I’m going to become the rock star I’ve always believed I was, deep down in my heart of hearts.
Ah ha. No, I’m actually quitting and joining another company, to do exactly what I’m doing now. Y-es!
The good news is that I’m very happy doing what I do, and wouldn’t want that to change at all. The bad news is that my rock star aspirations will have to be contained within the four corners of my bedroom. For now. (But no one said anything about not playing air guitar everywhere.)
So in a little over a month, I shall be starting work at the new place, and I’ll be able to better explain what I do; at present most times when I say who I write for, I have to append it with, “Nono, I don’t review cameras…I wish I did…Alas, I don’t.”

Congratulations!! I recently moved companies.. while sitting in the exact same desk and doing the exact same thing I had done the day before ;)
