As if a 6 a.m. flight isn’t ungodly enough, now they’ve delayed my flight an hour later to 7. This wouldn’t be such a slap in the face if not for the fact that I got a call from the airline office this afternoon informing me that my flight would be an hour earlier, further urging me to please hurry and arrive earlier at the airport.

Thankfully, our airport sports Internet terminals scattered generously over its waiting space. However, I’m sitting on a regular-heighted chair at a terminal obviously meant for standing-height usage, typing upwards and craning my neck up.

I also have to keep my usage to 15-minute blocks, where the system unceremoniously kicks you out as a courtesy to the next person in line.

But this is Internet for free, and nobody’s waiting in line. So I don’t really have grounds on which to complain.

For those who don’t yet know, I’m off to LA to visit two of my best friends from home, Jody and Jun, who work and live there now. (Or at least Jun will be, soon.)

I was also digging up old photos recently, and chanced upon a thick file of black and white negatives from the time I was really into the medium, developing at home and shooting all the time. Many of the sheets contained great images of the three of us, too, so as a little revival, I decided to bring a smallish film camera along, rather than a digital one.

Another hour to boarding. Maybe I’ll actually read that book I brought along.
