Houston
I finally got round to picking and uploading some pictures from my Houston trip three weeks ago.
Regrettably, I was there for work and also not long enough to form a stronger opinion of the place, so let’s skip full sentences for this ‘review’.
| What I liked | What I didn’t |
| Breezy, clear weather | Too. Much. Sun. More than Singapore. That makes it Way Too Much Sun. |
| The Westin Galleria, a huge mall connected to my hotel. Win. | No subway system = no cheap, convenient and predictable way for me to get around. Lose. |
| McDonald’s tastes the same as back in Singapore. This is hard to explain, but I like the consistency. It’s different in Barcelona, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Malaysia, to my recent memory. | The response to “thank you” here is “mm-hmm”. That is not the right response. |
| NASA | Only NASA |
| Frequent cow sightings. Cute varied cows, at that. | A little too suburban, landscape-wise. Also, didn’t see anybody in a stetson. Yes, I’m like one of those tourists who come to Singapore expecting everybody to be in a sarong kebaya. Still, no cowboys in sight. |

AHHAHAHAHAHAHHA
i like the table, thank you for your input.
“mmmmm-hmm!”, victoria replies.
I spent 3 months there for work. Yea your pics pretty much sums up houston. Not a very travel friendly place transport wise and sightseeing wise, shopping was good tho ;)
if you ever go back, the free holocaust museum and this one huuuge park (cant remember the name hyuk) were a few of the very few highlights. NASA was a yawn tho. My colleague who lives there says he has to bring his relatives EVERY time and he knows the tour by heart.
if you’re interested in comparing notes, my flickr set on houston here :)

gurge> Lol, thanks! Your pictures are a lot more detailed than mine. And I really liked your pictures of the supermarket. Excess always impresses me. :D
